Hello, my name is Sadie. I am the artist behind the artwork, and I’m so glad you are here!

Growing up, I was always drawn to the beautiful. Most of my days were spent outdoors, exploring the forgotten forests and playing among the reeds in the river. These were places of solace and stillness, and they still inform my work today!

After receiving my bachelor’s degree in art, I studied floristry for six years, exploring contemporary sculpture and using flowers as my medium.

My practice more recently has shifted back to one of reflection. Bringing the beauty and quiet of creation into the home. My work is about finding pockets of peace in a broken world. Amidst the chaos and fear, appreciating the blessing in a single moment of time. We are all going through seasons and everything is constantly changing, but in these things, I am seeking joy in the everyday beauty that we sometimes forget to pause and acknowledge. The moment before the sun sets, the slow decay of a picked flower, the promise of spring growth. I think there is beauty in the brevity of these things. Knowing that they won’t last forever is both promising in grief and a reminder to love - that this present moment is one that we can’t get back.

My work has always been an ode to creation, noticing the nostalgia in change and appreciating the ephemerality of life.
