This piece depicts a cloudy day in Costa Rica. With soft pink Iris unfurling their petals, it is a picture of springtime and of hope. In 2017, I traveled to Costa Rica to assist an organization in their support of women coming out of sex trafficking and prostitution. These young girls were so resilient and brave, taking the storms in life and blooming all the same. This painting remembers them and their strength.
